Why Crypto Trading Volume Matters More Than Price
Everyone watches price. Few people watch volume. That is a mistake. Volume tells you things price cannot.
What Volume Tells You
Volume measures how many units of a cryptocurrency were traded in a given period. High volume means lots of activity. Lots of buyers and sellers. Lots of conviction behind the move.
A price increase on high volume is strong. A price increase on low volume is weak and likely to reverse.
Volume Confirms Breakouts
When Bitcoin breaks above a resistance level, check the volume. If volume is 2-3x the average, the breakout is real. Traders backed it with real money. If volume is below average, it is a fake breakout. The price will likely fall back below resistance.
Volume Precedes Price
Often, volume increases before a big price move. Smart money accumulates quietly, pushing volume up without moving price much. Then the breakout happens.
Watch for days where volume spikes but price barely moves. Something is brewing.
Using Volume in Your Trading
On the BTC Signals VIP chart, pay attention to the volume bars alongside the AI predictions. If the model predicts a bullish hour and current volume is above average, the signal is stronger. If volume is dying, be more cautious with your position size.
